Theme Installation and Demo Import Video Tutorial

Recommended Plugins

After theme installation you'll see a notification with recommended plugins that you should install if you want to get full functionality of a theme. The most important plugins are highlighted with Required label.

Demo Import

Go to Appearance -> Import Demo Data. Click Import Demo Data Button and wait until the process is finished.

Child Theme

We recommend you to use child theme. You can customize it how you want, add CSS styles, functions etc. This way, when you get theme update, all your changes will be in place in child theme. Simply install and activate it after main theme.

Theme Menu

Go to Appearance -> Menus. Make sure that Main Menu and Display location are set to Primary Menu

Homepage display

Go to Settings -> Reading and set your homepage to static page. Choose a homepage from dropdown list.

2. Theme Requirements

Greetings,

In order for the theme to function properly on your site, we recommend your host supports:

You must be running WordPress 5.0 or higher. It is recommended to be on at least PHP 5.6 and more preferably PHP 7.4+ (WordPress recommends PHP 7.4 at minimum).

Below is a list of items you should check to make sure your host can comply with.

3. Logo image is broken

Sometimes your logo may not render properly and show a broken image icon instead. This issue is often related to an HTTP protocol conflict. When you set your Site Address URL and WordPress Address URL at Settings -> General as a https://website.com you need to re-upload your logo in Customizer or Elementor and save it again.

4. What To Do If Demo Content Import Fails

If the import fails and does not respond after a few minutes, or it announces that “ Import failed”, your PHP configuration limits are too low to complete the process. Please contact your Web host and ask them to increase those limits follow this minimum:

Customizer.dat cannot be imported

In some rare cases you may see this message:

Import Failed

Whoops, there was a problem importing your content.

An error occurred while fetching file from: https://yoursite.com/wp-content/themes/dinery/includes/demo-import/customizer.dat! Reason: 403 - Forbidden.

This can be easily fixed with the manual import. Navigate to Appearance -> Import Demo Data and find Switch to Manual Import link. Select demo-content.xml for Import Content, widgets.wie for Import Widgets and customizer.dat for Import Customizer. These files usually located in the theme folder inside includes/demo-import folder. Once selected click Continue & Import button and wait until demo import is finished.
